Age Criteria

If you want to apply to the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana, you must be between 18 (as on the date of application) and 70 years old (last birthday).

Educational Qualification

Candidates must complete at least the 10th standard to apply for the Bima Sakhi Yojana. Once you complete the required training, you can start working as an LIC agent. Nonetheless, if you are a graduate and cater to other prerequisites, you can also pursue a career in a Development Officer role in the Life Insurance Corporation of India.

Who Cannot Apply to the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?

If you are a relative of an existing agent or employee of LIC, then you cannot apply for this scheme. Note that relatives are people, who are the spouses, children (adopted and stepchildren are also applicable), parents, brothers, sisters, and immediate in-laws of LIC agents and employees.


If you are a retired employee of LIC or a former LIC agent, you cannot apply as well.


If you are an existing LIC agent, you are not eligible to apply for the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana.

What are the Stipend Amounts in Three Years in the LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?

In the first, second, and third-year, you would receive ₹7,000/- per month, ₹6,000/- per month, and ₹5,000/- per month respectively. A commission other than the bonus commission would also be added to the aforementioned amounts.
